Mid Coast

Conditions are clean on the Mid Coast early with ESE winds around 10 – 15 knots, and a few small lines of swell. Surf is around a foot with occasional bigger sets, a bit less consistent and smaller than yesterday. The morning tide is now heading out so thee’ll be even less sets after 8am, but the beach breaks should begin to work better heading toward low tide at lunch. There’ll probably be small waves on the incoming tide after lunch, and although the forecast predicts Southerly winds up to 20 knots it might just stay SE and clean all afternoon. High tide is at 1820. Shred factor 6/10

Mid Coast

Winds are around 12 knots from the E-SE on the Mid Coast early and conditions are clean, with a few lines of swell still managing to sneak in. Surf is around 1′ with the odd bigger set, and the higher tide favouring the reefs. The outgoing tide will kill it a bit mid morning, but the beach breaks should begin to pick up more waves through low tide at lunch. There’ll probably still be some waves on the incoming tide after lunch ( low is just before midday ) but it’s looking bumpy with South winds up to 20 knots. Evening sou-easter will clean it up a it around sunset.  Shred factor 6/10

Mid Coast

Winds are light from the ESE on the Mid Coast early and conditions are clean, with a few lines of swell sneaking in. Surf is around 1′ with the odd bigger set, and the tide just starting to drain out. Surface conditions are carrying just a bit of southerly wobble, and it looks like South winds will come up during the morning and add bumps. The dropping tide will kill it a bit too mid morning, although the beachies should have a few waves through low tide at lunch. There will be a few waves on the incoming tide after lunch ( high tide is at 6pm ) but it’s looking bumpy with South winds around 17 knots. May go SE again toward sunset.  Shred factor 6/10

Mid Coast

Winds are onshore from the W-SW on the Mid Coast early and conditions are bumpy, but there’s groundswell underneath the froth. Surf is around 2′ right along the coast and if you don’t mind it semi-stormy there are a couple of options this morning. The tide is heading out until 1130 so the beachies will be around chest high mid morning. The incoming tide will see winds shift more SW-S at 15 knots so it’ll remain bumpy, unless we are lucky enough to get a sou-easter in the evening. If the wind does swing to a land breeze it’ll be late, but keep an eye on it just in case.  Shred factor 5/10

Mid Coast

Warm Northerly winds around 25 knots are blowing down the gulf this morning, adding small chop to a flat Mid Coast. There’s zero swell and the bumps from the wind will probably get up to about one foot later. There is a W-SW change on the way, but it’s fast moving and will swing the wind around to the SW-S by mid afternoon. There’s not much chance of a stormy today but the reefs may have some choppy 1 – 2′ waves late arvo with easing winds.  Shred factor 1/10

Mid Coast

Conditions are clean on the Mid Coast early with light offshore East winds, and a few small lines of swell. Surf is around 1′ on the reefs with a nominal high tide at 0915. There’s hardly any movement in the tide today, and wind will play a bigger role in how things pan out. NE winds will pick up during the morning and if the breeze tends more North it’ll add a few bumps. Sea breezes are forecast after lunch so there may be a glass off as the two cancel out. Late arvo / evening will see a return to NE winds and clean conditions, or it may just stay clean all day.  Shred factor 5/10

Mid Coast

Winds are back around to  a light offshore Easterly on the Mid Coast and conditions are clean early, with a bit of leftover Southerly wobble in the swell. There are some actual waves this morning with sets around 1 – 2′ on the reefs, and the tide peaking at 0915. There’s not  a lot of tidal movement today, but a  slow drain out until 1530 will favour the beachies mid arvo. The forecast predicts Southerly winds becoming Northeasterly mid – late arvo, so hopefully it’ll remain fairly clean. There’s not much incoming tide before sunset, but there should still be a few waves for a late session after work. Shred factor 6/10

Mid Coast

Winds are around to the South on the Mid Coast early and conditions are bumpy, with some swell still sneaking in. Surf is around 1 – 2′ and pretty full, coming up to high tide just before 9am. The dropping tide might help some spots to break a bit better, and the beachies will probably offer bumpy waves similar to yesterday through low tide mid arvo. Winds will stay out of the S-SW all day at around 15 knots, possibly easing a bit in the evening. Shred factor 5/10

Onshore SW winds are around 15 knts on the Mid Coast early, and conditions are bumpy / half stormy. There’s some groundswell under the bumps with surf around 2′ on the reefs, and high tide just before 0830. Spots like Seaford will come into play as the tide drops, and offer stormy 2′ waves for the grommies late morning. The beach breaks will be a bit bigger through low tide early arvo, and the reefs will have bumpy waves on the incoming tide. Winds won’t change much, remaining onshore SW at around 20 knots all day.  Shred factor 4/10

Mid Coast

There’s a tiny bit of new swell on the Mid Coast this morning, but unfortunately onshore WSW winds have arrived with it. Conditions are bumpy with surf around 1′ on the reefs, also full coming up to high tide just before 8am. The dropping tide may actually reveal a few more options mid morning, and the beachies will have bumpy waves through low tide early arvo. Winds will shift more SW-S at 20 knts after lunch o it’ll stay bumpy all day, but the reefs may see a few waist high waves this evening.  Shred factor 3/10
