Mid Coast

Winds have quickly gone back to the SE on the Mid Coast following the change, and conditions are glassy with overcast skies. Surf is still small and only shin-high on the reefs heading through high tide. Nothing much will change as the tide heads out, and the beachies will only be small through low water at lunchtime. Southerly winds will pick up after lunch and add some bumps, and wave heights will be lucky to top 1′. Shred factor 2/10

NNE winds are up around 10 – 15 knots on the Mid Coast early, addling a bit of a wobble to the fading swell. Surf is barely a foot on the reefs and very full just coming off a big morning tide. It won’t get any better as the tide heads out and winds swing more NNW at up to 20 knots.  A W-SW change is expected sometime mid arvo, but it won’t be strong or early enough to produce a stormy anywhere. It’ll be choppy after the wind swings, and probably only about 1′.

Mid Coast

Conditions are clean on the Mid Coast early with offshore East winds around 7 knots, and  a few small lines of W-SW swell. Surf is around 1′ on the reefs with occasional bigger sets, and a very full morning tide. Only high tide spots ar breaking at the moment, but the dropping tide may open up some more options. The beachies will have a few small peelers through low tide at lunch, but the reefs probably won’t top 1′ on the incoming tide. Winds will be good for the first half of the day, but a shift to Southerlies mid arvo will add bumps. A land breeze will kick in around tea-time and clean it up again. Shred factor 4/10

Winds are back to a light sou-easter and conditions are clean on the Mid Coast, with just a slight bit of leftover wobble in the swell. Surf is only about a foot and very full with the supermoon high tide. About the only spots breaking are Seaford Reef and Freddy Nerk’s, and even then the sets are few and far between. The beachies will probably have a few small peelers through low tide late morning, but the reefs won’t be any bigger after lunch. Southerly winds in the 15 knot range are forecast too, so it’ll most likely be a bit bumpy. Shred factor 3/10

Mid Coast

Stormy conditions have eased on the Mid Coast overnight, with SSW winds back to around 15 knots.  Surf is still messy at around 2′ on the reefs with some bigger sets, and the tide just starting to head out. Low tide’s at 11:40 an high tide is just before 6pm. The forecast predicts SSW winds at 15 – 20 knots for the rest of the day, so you’ll get a grovel at Seaford or possibly the Southern end of South Port late arvo. Shred factor 4/10

m  Stormy conditions continue on the Mid Coast today with onshore WSW winds still gusting over 25 knots.  Surf is messy and pretty big at exposed locations ranging 3 – 5′, so your best bet is to pick out a stormy venue. The swell isn’t quite big enough for metro beachies and jetties to really fire, but Adelaide’s worst kept secret spot and Dumpers should be on your check list. Conditions will moderate into the start of the week. Shred factor 4/10

Winds are offshore from the East at around 10 – 15 knots on the Mid Coast early and conditions are clean – but small. Surf is around 1′ on the reefs with a bit of a wait for waves, and the tide heading out until 1010. There’s not much movement on the incoming tide but the reefs may at least improve slightly in consistency. Winds will remain out of the E-SE all day and may be up around 20 knots again after lunch. Surf will remain small.  Shred factor 5/10

It’s looking similar to yesterday on the Mid Coast with light offshore ESE winds and clean conditions early. There are also a few lines sneaking in with surf around 1′ on the reefs with occasional bigger set. There’s not  a lot of movement in the tide today with a nominal low tide at 0915 and about a foot or so more water by 1530. Winds should be ok for the  next few hours before turnign southerly at 15 knots and adding bumps. Sou-easters and cleaner conditions should return in the evening. Shred factor 6/10

Winds are light from the East and conditions are clean on the Mid Coast early, with a few small lines of swell sneaking in. Surf is around 1′ on the reefs with the odd bigger set, and the tide slowly heading out until 10am. The low tide isn’t really low but it will probably help the beachies to pick up a few more waves mid morning. High tide is at 4pm, and again it’s not a biggie won it won’t get too full. The forecast predicts winds will go Southerly after lunch so it’ll probably be bumpy, and probably no bigger than it it now. Shred factor 6/10

Mid Coast

Winds have eased to a light Southerly on the Mid Coast early, and conditions are semi-clean with a bit of a bumpy. Surf is around 1′ on the reefs with the odd 2′ set, coming up to high tide at 0840. The dropping tide will kill it a bit, but the lower tide may help the beachies to pick up some more waves early arvo. Winds are forecast to pick up again from the S-SW and possibly reach 17 knots after lunch. I’ll be bumpy with the wind, and it’s probably as clean as it’ll get right now. Shred factor 5/10
