Onshore SE winds around 12 knots are adding lumps to the swell on the South Coast this morning, to kick off the Easter weekend. Swell has picked up overnight, and surf is pretty solid at around 4 ‘ along the Middleton – Day St. stretch with the odd bigger set down toward Cliffs and Goolwa. Chtion / Gap are peaky at around 3 – 4’, Waits and Parson’s will be bigger but closing out. A few spots further in that direction may be worth a gander though. The breeze will pick up and tend more S-SW after lunch, so even the sheltered spots will become messy. Swell should ease a bit later in the day.  Shred factor 5/10

Light onshore SE winds are adding a bit of a lump to the swell on the South Coast this morning, but otherwise conditions are semi-clean. Surf  is around 3′ along the Middleton –  Day St. stretch with the odd bigger set down toward Goolwa.  Chtion / Gap are clean at around 2′,  Waits and Parson’s will be bigger with Parson’s offering partial shelter in beside the point. The breeze will swing more to the South after lunch and pick up to around 15 knots, so the rest of the day will be sloppy. Some new swell should start to push in from about mid arvo onward.  Shred factor 6/10

Winds are light onshore from the NW on the South Coast this morning, and conditions are clean early. Surf  is around 3 – 4′ along the Middleton –  Day St. stretch with the odd bigger set down toward Goolwa.  Chtion / Gap are clean at around 2 – 3′,  Waits and Parson’s will be bigger but probably  struggling to hold the sets. Swell may ease  a bit after lunch but light winds should keep it clean all day. Shred factor 8/10

We must be  finally starting to shift into a more typical Autumn weather cycle, because winds are light offshore on the South Coast again this morning. Conditions are cleaner than yesterday and surf is around 3 – 4′ along the  Middleton – Goolwa stretch. Chiton / Gap are around 2′, Waits and Parson’s will be bigger and clean, but probably still copping a few closeouts. Winds look pretty good all day, remaining out of the North this morning and tendling light / variable after lunch. With plenty of sunshine and water temperature still comfortable, it’s got all teh makings of a classic Autumn day. Shred factor 8/10

After several days of onshores winds have a puff of North in them  on the South Coast this morning, and conditions are clean with a bit of leftover wobble in the swell. It’s dropped  a bit overnight and surf is around 3 – 4′ along the  Middleton – Goolwa stretch. Chiton / Gap are around 2′, Waits and Parson’s will be bigger but probably still copping a few closeouts. Winds looks like heading back around to the SE late morning and turning it to slops for the arvo, so try and grab what you can early. Shred factor 7/10

Winds have eased and shifted to a light Easterly  on the South Coast this morning. Surf is a bit lumpy / peaky  with 4′ waves  along the Middleton – Goolwa stretch, and glassy 2 – 3′ waves around at Chiton / Gap. Winds will tend more onshore Southerly during the arvo and pick up, so the lumps will revert to slop for the rest of the day. Swell should remain a similar size all day.  Shred factor 5/10

Winds have eased the South Coast overnight, and we’re back to light onshore sou-westers around 10 knots this morning. Surf is still pretty bumpy and fairly solid, with 4 – 5′ waves  along the Middleton – Goolwa stretch  and partial shelter inside Middleton Bay. There are waves between 2 and 4′ along the Dump – Boomer stretch, with the Victor end offering cleaner conditions. Winds will tend more onshore Southerly during the arvo and pick up, so pretty much everywhere will become big and chopped up. The Subway series will probably run in Middleton Bay, and that’ll definitely be worth a look if you’re on the South Coast today.   Shred factor 4/10

SW winds are hammering the South Coast this morning with gusts over 35 knots early. Surf is blown out and stormy  along the Middleton – Goolwa stretch at around 3′,  with partial shelter inside Middleton Bay. The Port Elliot stretch is also copping it from the wind, but The Dump is a little bit out of it with 1 – 2′ waves hopefully improving during the morning. Swell will build during the day, but as winds shift more onshore Southerly even sheltered spots will fall prey to messy onshore conditions. It’ll ease a bit in the evening, but it’ll be a pretty big sloppy mess by then. Shred factor 4/10

Conditions are clean and glassy on the South Coast this morning thanks to light offshore North winds, but swell has eased off overnight. Surf is still around 2′ along the Middleton – Day St stretch, with occasional bigger sets down toward Goolwa. Waits and Parson’s should be back into more manageable size territory today, and both will be glassy early. Winds look good for the first half of the day, but a shift to the west will precede the arrival of onshore SW winds mid arvo. Strength will increase to around 20 knots or more toward evening, with conditions gradually deteriorating. Shred factor 7/10

There’s  actually a puff of North in the wind on the South Coast this morning, and conditions are glassy early with a bit of leftover wobble in the swell. Surf is still around  4′ along the Middleton –  Day St stretch,  with peaky / glassy 2 – 3′ waves around at Chiton / Gap. Waits and Parson’s will be marginal and still probably closing out  a fair bit. Light Northerlies should prevail for much of the morning so it won’t hurt to wait and let it straighten up some more, but don’t be surprised if a sea breeze kicks in late morning and messes it up again for the arvo.
