South Coast

The wind is back to around 10 knots from the West and conditions are semi-clean with a bit of leftover wobble on the South Coast. Surf is around 1 – 2′ at Middleton, with occasional bigger sets breaking down toward Cliffs and Goolwa. Waits and Parson’s will be bigger, and Waits Poubnt will be perfectly sheltered. The wind will tend more onshore from the SW after lunch, but it probably won’t get much above 10 -15 knots. The swell has peaked on the Cape Due Coudeic wavebuoy, but as direction improves wave heights should lift a bit after lunch. Check the updated surf forecast to see how the weekend is shaping up.

Conditions are on the turn on the South Coast this morning, with Westerly winds at 15 knots and stronger gusts. The swell is really west in direction too, so it’s not that big – surf is a blown-out looking 1′ at Middleton and not a whole lot bigger down toward Cliffs and Goolwa. Wais Point will be out of the wind and a bit bigger, probably the only option for a shortboard wave early. The wind will pick up and tend WSW by lunchtime, possibly to 30 knots, then SW later as it begins to ease. The swell will build after lunch and Middleton Bay might become an option, but the really sheltered spots probably won’t get big enough. The Dump is an outside chance for a late one. New surf forecast will be posted this evening.

Seas are glassy with very light winds from the North and a few rumbles of thunder on the South Coast this morning. There’s not a whole lot of swell, and Day St. =- Surfer’s stretch of beach is only managing weak looking 1′ lumps. Waits and Parson’s won’t be a whole lot bigger, but at least they’ll both be glassy early. The wind will arrive not long after sunrise, picking up to 20 knots plus from the NW. That’ll blow the entire coast flat, and it looks like that’s the way it’ll stay. There may be gusts over 30 knots at times, with winds shifting NW-W after lunch. Check the updated surf forecast to see how the rest of the week is looking.

It’s looking alright on the South Coast early with a well lined up swell and light offshore North winds, but it probably won’t stay that way for long. Winds are around 10 – 15 knots and there are still a few 2′ sets along the Day St. – Goolwa stretch. Waits and Parson’s will through in a few bigger sets, and both spots will be clean. The wind is already starting to build, and gusts may be over 25 knots bu mid-morning. Almost everywhere will be blown out once the wind hits, and Middleton will be better suited to kite / wind surfing. The swell will be pretty much blown flat by the wind after lunch, but there is a chance it’ll lighten off again late arvo. A Wester;y change will arrive sometime later, possibly after sunset. Check the updated surf forecast to see how the rest of the week is looking.

There’s still some swell left on the South Coast for the start of the working week and the wind is offshore, but it’s still pretty lumpy. Surf is around 3 – 4′ between Middleton and Goolwa and the underlying swell is well defined – but the light Nor-easter isn’t really enough to straighten it up. There are a few lumpy / glassy 2 – 3′ waves around at Chiton / Gap, Waits and Parson’s will be bigger with the East in the wind favouring Parson’s Point. It’ll be solid this morning. The wind looks like it’ll stay offshore all day, picking up to 17 knots or so this morning before backing off after lunch. It might even glass off later, which could be good if the wind does manage to iron some lumps out of it. The swell will probably ease slightly after lunch. Check the updated surf forecast to see how the rest of the week is looking.

South Coast

The wind is trying to go offshore on the South Coast this morning, but it’s still out of the East at 7 knots early. Conditions are very lumpy between Middleton and Goolwa, despite a well-lined up and decent sized swell underneath. Surf at Middleton is easily 4′ wit 5′ sets along the Day St. / Cliffs / Goolwa stretch. There are 3′ lumps around at Chiton Rocks and even a few bigger sets in between. Waits and Parson’s will be big and probably just closing out, but other options may be worth checking around that side. The breeze will swing more onshore SE-S late morning, and the arvo will be large and sloppy. Check the updated surf forecast to see how the rest of the week is looking.

South Coast

There’s swell on the South Coast this morning, but it’s come with a serve of ESE winds, so conditions remain lumpy. Surf is 3 – 4′ along the Middleton / Day St stretch, and there are a few bigger sets breaking further out down toward Cliffs and Goolwa. You’ll find lumpy / glassy 2 – 3′ waves around at Chiton and The Gap, and 4 – 5′ lumps around at Waits and Parson’s. Parson’s Point will be part sheltered at least, but only for the fit and the intrepid. The swell should stick around today, but as the wind shifts more onshore SE it will pick up, possibly over 20 knots after lunch. Most of the coast will spend the afternoon badly wind affected, but there may be some options the other side of Victor if you feel like a bit of a drive ‘n’ look. Check the updated surf forecast to see how the rest of the week is looking.

South Coast

The wind has dropped and come around to alight Easterly on the South Coast this morning, leaving conditions on the lumpy side. Surf is around 2 – 3′ at Middleton, with occasional bigger sets between Day St. and Goolwa. Chiton Rocka and The Gap and lumpy / glassy 2′, Waits and Paraon’s will be bigger and the latter will at least offer partial shelter in next to the point. The wind won’t be all that strong today, but it will swing onshore from the South at some stage, probably mid-morning. Conditions will turn from lumpy to sloppy, but the swell does look like it may lift after lunch. New surf forecast is late by a day, but it’ll be up later.

South Coast

Onshore SSE winds at 20 knots are making a mess on the South Coast, but there is swell at least. Middleton has messy 4′ surf and the slop is bigger along the stretch from Day St. – Goolwa. There’s sloppy surf ranging 1 – 2′ up to 4′ from the Dump to Boomer, but nowhere really looks surfable. The wind should ease off during the day but it will remain onshore, and conditions will remain ugly. The swell has probably peaked too. New surf forecast will be up this evening.

South Coast

It’s a grey, drizzly morning on the South Coast with WSW winds at 12 knots and small, messy surf. Middleton is barely breaking, and there’s only 1′ of chop along the day St. – Surfers stretch. Waits and Parson’s probably won’t be much bigger, although Waits Point will pe part sheltered. It’s probably going to get worse, with winds shifting more onshore SW-S at 20 knots, creating sloppy conditions everywhere. The swell will lift late arvo but it won’t be pretty.
