Mid Coast

Conditions are clean on the Mid Coast early with East winds around 7 – 10 knots,  and some 1 – 2′ waves on the reefs. The tide is heading out now, and by mid morning many of the reefs will become exposed heading into low tide at 10:45. Low water will favour the beachies, but we should see the reefs lift again on the incoming tide early arvo. Winds may tend a bit Southerly for a few hours and add a it of a bump, but a late offshore Easterly should clean it up again in the evening. Shred factor 7/10

Mid Coast

Conditions are clean but a bit wobbly on the Mid Coast early with light SE winds and a few small lines of new swell. Surf is around 1′ with occasional bigger sets, and it’s struggling a bit against the outgoing tide with low 1030. Some new swell should begin to push into the gulf on the incoming tide, it’ll probably appear on the beachies first but will build on the reefs as the tide rises slowly. Winds may be a bit flukey, possibly going Southerly / sea breezey and adding bumps for a few hours before the evening sou-easter kicks in and cleans it up.  Shred factor 4/10

Mid Coast

There’s a small hint of new swell on the Mid Coast this morning, but conditions are bumpy early with SW winds at 10 – 15 knots. Surf is around 1′ with occasional bigger sets, heading toward a nominal low tide at 1045. There’s not much movement in the tides today, and the incoming will only raise gulf waters by about 15cm. S-SW winds will remain in the 15 – 20 knots range and keep it bumpy all day, swell should build a bit later. Shred factor 2/10

North winds are gusting near 30 knots on the Mid Coast early, and conditions are blown out and flat. There’s only about half a foot of chop whipped up by the wind, and nothing much will change in the next few hours. The breeze is expected to blow itself out early – mid arvo, possibly even dropping out completely ahead of a SW-S change this evening. There may be a glass off at some stage, but it’s unlikely there’ll be any swell with it. Shred factor 1/10

Mid Coast

Conditions are clean on the Mid Coast early with light offshore ESE winds, but swell has dwindled overnight. The reefs are picking up ankle slappers and even the odd 1′ set due to the swell direction, but there’s very little energy in it. The dropping tide will snuff it out, but the beachies will have small peelers for learners or a SUP just after lunch. Winds will start out tending E-NE, then shift Northerly during the arvo and add a few bumps. It’ll be very small all day. Shred factor 4/10

Mid Coast

It’s a chilly morning on the Mid Coast with a light offshore ESE land breeze, and glassy conditions early. Surf is around 1′ on the reefs, and the tide is coming in until 8am. The dropping tide will kill the swell on the reefs mid morning, but the beachies may pick up a few more waves early arvo heading into low tide. It does look like we’ll probably get a sea breeze after lunch, so conditions may be choppy for much of the arvo. A late shift back to SE winds will clean it up for a Mally wave in the evening.  Shred factor 5/10

Winds have just kicked around to a light offshore land breeze on the Mid Coast this morning, but conditions are still bumpy from Southerly winds overnight. There are 1′ waves with occasional 2′ sets on the reefs coming up to high tide at 0730. Winds will probably come up again from the S-SW during the morning, and the dropping tide will kill it a bit after 9am. The lower tide may allow for a grovel on the beachies early arvo. A late sou-easter may clean it up around sunset. Shred factor 4/10

It’s raining again on the Mid Coast this morning, and winds are ’round to the WSW at around 10 knots early. Surf is around 1′ on the reefs with occasional bigger sets, but quality is poor with the onshores. The beachies or Seaford will probably offer a grovel around lunchtime, or just as the tide starts moving pack in early arvo. The wind will slowly shift more Southerly during the day, tending SW at around 20 knots for much of it. It’ll be bumpy and 1 – 2′ after lunch. Shred factor 2/10

Winds are light from the NNE on the Mid Coast and conditions are clean / peaky early. There are a few 1′ waves on the reefs with occasional bigger sets coming up to high tide just before 7am. The dropping tide will kill it a bit mod morning, but so too will the wind which will pick up from the North. There’ll still be some swell on the incoming tide but surf will most likely be wind effected with 20 knt North winds. The window may be small this morning. Shred factor 5/10

Winds have pulled an early switch back to the SE on the Mid Coast, and conditions are clean early with just a bit of leftover bump. Surf is around 2′ on the reefs, coming up to high tide. The dropping tide may kill it a bit mid morning, and there’s a chance North winds will come up and add a few bumps. The very low tide will favour the beachies at lunchtime, and the incoming tide should provide a bit of a pulse. Winds should drop out mid arvo and possibly go back to very light offshore in the evening. Waves all day.  Shred factor 7/10
