South Coast

It’s looking pretty good on the South Coast this morning, with light offshore North winds lining up a well defined swell. Surf is around 3′ along the Middleton – Day St. stretch, and the odd bigger set down toward Cliffs / Goolwa. There are 2′ waves around at Chiton / Gap, and more size around at Waitpinga and Parson’s. The forecast looks good for this morning, but a Southerly change is expected sometime later today. Hopefully it won’t come until evening, and it’ll remain clean and offshore all day. Winds are Westerly at around 5 – 10 knots on the South Coast this morning, and conditions are glassy with a bit of a westerly wobble in the swell.  It’s bigger today with surf around 3′ along the Middleton – Day St. stretch, and the odd bigger set down toward Cliffs / Goolwa. There are 2′ waves around at Chiton / Gap, and more size around at Waits / Parson’s with wind favouring Waits. The breeze should tend more NW and offshore during the day, and swell looks like it’ll kick  a bit later. The arvo could be very good, so it won’t hurt to wait a few hours. Shred factor 7/10

South Coast

Conditions are fairly clean again on the South Coast this morning after the cool change, with light westerly winds. Swell is still on the small side with surf around 2′ along the Middleton – Goolwa stretch, and a bit bigger for shortboaders around at Waits and Parson’s.  The wind direction  will favour Waits over Parson’s. The forecast predicts W-SW winds at 15 – 20 knots for the rest of the day, so exposed stretches may become bumpy but sheltered spots won’t get enough swell to break. We should see a return to offshores and a new swell through the middle part of the weekend. Shred factor 7/10

It’s looking OK on the South Coast early with light West winds and clean conditions. Surf is around 2 – 3′ along the Middleton – Goolwa stretch, and 1 – 2′ around at Chiton / Gap.  Waits and Parson’s will be bigger, the West in the wind will favour Waits up the point end. The forecast predicts W-SW winds for the rest of the day, so conditions will become a bit bumpy as the wind tends more onshore. Middleton Bay / Point may be OK later but the best of it will be early this morning.

South Coast

There’s no wind on the South Coast early and conditions are clean, with a bit of leftover Easterly wobble in the swell. Surf is around 3 – 4′ along the Middleton – Goolwa stretch, and 2′ around at Chiton / Gap. Waits and Parson’s will be bigger and probably closing out on the larger sets, the East in the wind will favour Parson’s slightly. The forecast predicts SE-S winds at 10 – 15 knots for the rest of the day, so the arvo will be lumpy. Grab a few quick ones this morning before the wind comes up. Shred factor 7/10
