Mid Coast

Can’t remember the last time the wind was from the SE on the Mid Coast, but early this morning it’s finally back there. There’s still a few leftover lumps from the endless W-SW winds, but very little in the way of swell. It’s not so much swell size but swell direction that’s limiting the reefs between South Port and Moana to feeble looking shin-high bumps. It’s not gonna get much better today, sadly. Winds will swing SW-S for a while, but will probably shift back to the SE again late arvo. You may scrape up a longboard wave this evening if you’re desperate. Outlook heading into the weekend is in the latest surf forecast. Shred factor 1/10
