Mid Coast

The wind is from the SE at 7 knots and conditions are clean on the Mid Coast early, with a few lunes of swell sneaking in. Surf is around 1′ on the reefs with bigger sets, but it’s very full coming up to high tide at 0630. The dropping tide will effect consistency after 8am, but the lower water should open up a few more options mid-morning. Low tide at lunchtime is very low again, and a lot of reef will be exposed along the coast. The beach breaks will be the best option through the middle of the day. The incoming tide should see the swell lift again on the reefs, but like yesterday, it’ll come with fresh SOutherly winds. Open stretches will be a bit bumpy, South Port will offer partial shelter. The wind will go SE again after6pm and should clean it up for a late one. Shred factor 6/10
