Mid Coast

The wind has swung to the SW overnight, and it’s blowing onshore at 12 knots early on the Mid Coast. Conditions are bumpy but there are a few small lines of swell underneath, with waves around 1 – 1.5′. It’s pretty slow and full early, and not a lot will change as the tide heads out during the morning. Low tide will reveal a few bumpy 1 – 2′ waves on the beach breaks, and the swell should lift a bit after lunch as the tide begins to push back in. The wind will stay out of the SW, but by mid – late arvo it may go light and variable. There should be a few 2′ waves by then, and conditions might be alight for a late paddle. This is the last dure report for a while, I’m putting surfsouthoz into hibernation during the Covid-19 pandemic. You can read a statement here. For now, stay safe everyone. Shred factor 4/10
