Mid Coast

The swell is out of the West this morning and it’s bigger on the Mid Coast – but a 15 knot North wind has given it the wobbles. Surf is around 1′ on the reefs with occasional bigger sets, and the tide just about to peak. As the tide drains out and the wind gets stuck in, it won’t look all that great for the next few hours. Low tide at lunch will see a few more bumpy waves hitting the beach breaks at Miana and South Port, but as the tide fills in after lunch all the reefs will begin to pick up the rising swell. The other good news is that the wind will start to ease early arvo, and could be back under 10 knots by 3pm. It’s worth keeping an eye on it, the best waves today will be after lunch. Outlook for the next few days is in the latest forecast.
