Mid Coast

The swell has lifted slightly on the Mid Coast overnight, and there are a few lines rolling over the reefs. Surf is around 1′ with occasional bigger sets, and the tide peaking at 0730. The dropping tide will kill the small swell after 9am as it drains from the gulf, but low tide should provide a few waist-high peelers at South Port and Triggs. The incoming tide should see the swell lift, and it might even deliver a few 1 – 2′ sets to selected reefs. The wind should stay light all day too, tending North but not much over 7 knots. It’s supposed to be stronger late arvo, and the big tide will probably snuff out the swell at many spots by then. Outlook for the rest of the week is in the latest surf forecast,  hope to have a refresh tonight.
