Mid Coast

NW winds at 10 – 15 knots are adding bumps on the Mid Coast early, and the swell looks smaller despite a jump on the Cape Du Coudiec wavebuoy overnight. Surf is around 1 – 2′, and the tide heading out to a low at 0930. The wind will begin to pick up soon, and by mid-morning it may be gusting 25 knots ahead of a westerly change. The wind is already on the turn over at Yorkes, so it’s probably not far off. The wind will be gusty and onshore for the rest of the day, tending W-SW after lunch. The wind and the new swell will push wave heights up after lunch as the tide comes back in to a high at 3:30pm. Check part sheltered spots later today for semi-stormy waves, possibly up to 3′.
