Mid Coast

NW winds are gusting over 25 knots on the Mid Coast early, and the sea is looking very chopped up. Surf is messy and around 2′, just coming off high tide at 0630. The swell will build during the day today but the wind will stay strong from the NW for most of the morning. A Westerly should kick in after lunch, and that will coincide with a building stormy as the swell lifts. Part sheltered spots will be your best bet on the incoming tide after lunch. The wind should start to wind back from mid arvo onwards, 15 – 20 knots and onshore by evening. It’s hard to say if it’ll get big enough for Adelaide’s worst kept secret spot, but Seaford will have stormy waves for a late grovel. Check the surf forecast to see how the next few days are looking.
