Mid Coast

0930 update: The tide’s starting to move out but there’s still some fun waves about, sets have been chest high all morning and really consistent. Some other reefs will come into play later this morning with less water, but don’t leave it too late – fresh Southerlies will probably get into it by early arvo.

Winds have backed off overnight and swung more to the SE early at around 7 knots, and conditions are cleaner on the Mid Coast this morning. There are a few 1′ waves on the reefs with some bigger sets, and the tide still coming in until around 8am. It might get a bit full at some spots around high tide, but it’ll mean the wave window will probably remain open until 9ish. The dropping tide will kill it a bit late morning, and the lower tide will favour the beachies early arvo. Southerly winds will pick up during the day and add bumps after lunch, but there should be small waves all day.
