Northerly winds have backed off early to around 10 knots this morning, but stronger gusts overnight have left some lumps. Swell has picked up a but with lumpy 1 – 2′ waves on the reefs, and the tide heading out until 0920. The Bureau of Met predicts winds will swing West and then SW during the morning, and pick up to around 20 knots. There’ll be messy waves after lunch and winds are expected to tend Southerly at up to 30 knots. Some part sheltered spots may be worth a look late arvo. Shred factor 4/10
