Mid Coast

Winds are just a puff from the SE and there’s a solid swell running on the Mid Coast this morning. It’s still pretty raw and a bit wobbly from Southerly winds, but there are 2 – 3′ waves hitting the reefs. The tide is supposed to be heading out but the surge has inflated it early, with low tide around 10am. The beachies will be thumping mid morning and probably still closing out a fair bit, but the incoming tide should deliver some head high waves on the reefs ( high tide’s at 4pm ). Winds will tend Southerly during the morning and pick up to around 15 knots, so exposed stretches will be bumpy. A few unusual spots may be working this morning, so don’t rule out a bit of a drive North or South of the Port Noarlunga – Moana strip.  Shred factor 7/10
