Swell is solid on the South Coast this morning, although anywhere exposed is a bit bumpy with 20 knot West winds. Surf is easily 6′ between Middleton and Goolwa, but the paddle looks a nightmare. There are 4 – 5′ sets hitting Chiton / Gap, and 2 – 3′ waves at the Dump where it’s slightly cleaner. It’s probably worth checking a couple of other part sheltered spots this morning. The BoM predicts SW winds easing and tending Westerly at 10 knots by mid arvo. The swell will probably back off a bit, so Middleton Bay may be an option after 2pm. Most likely though The Dump is probably the easiest option for the rest of the day. Shred factor 5/10
