South Coast

Onshore SSW winds are gusting over 25 knots on the South Coast, and conditions are big and messy for the start of summer, week one. Surf is 5′ and all over the place between Middleton and Goolwa, and it’s also big and messy between Victor and Port Elliot. Surf is around 3 – 4′ at Chiton Rocks and 2′ at The Dump, but quality is dreadful and the wind is hammering it. The breeze should start to back off late morning, and should drop to around 15 – 20 knots by late arvo. The swell still be up all day, but with this wind there are not really any options. There’s more swell coming this week, and better winds. More on that in the latest surf forecast. Shred factor 3/10
