South Coast

You could be forgiven for thinking winter had returned on the South Coast this morning, it’s wet and windy and the surf looks dismal. The wind is dead onshore fro the South at 20 knots and everywhere is a chopped up mess, with surf around 2 – 3′ between Middleton and Goolwa. There are also junky 2′ waves around at Chiton/ Gap, and a few bigger sets pushing in up the Knight’s / Boomer end. Waits and Parson’s will be bigger, but horrible. The swell will build a bit today but quality will not improve with SSE – SSW winds over 20 knots after lunch. You might get a grovel in the Bay at Middleton later if you are absolutely desperate, otherwise forget it. Outlook for tomorrow is in the latest surf forecast. Shred factor 3/10
