South Coast

The wind has dropped overnight and it’s back to a moderate westerly on the South Coast early. Conditions are still a bit bumpy from the wind overnight and yesterday, but the swell has held up alright. The Day St. – Goolwa stretch has surf in the 3 – 5′ range, and Middleton Bay is OK at 3 – 4′ and part-sheltered. It’s a bit wobbly between Victor and Port Elliot, The Dump has 1 – 2′ waves and it semi-clean, Chiton / Gap are bigger but not as clean. The wind should be out of the West for a few hours before swinging SW, the SSW after lunch. It probably won’t get much over 15 knots all day, but it’ll mess it up again as it swings dead onshore. There’s a few imperfect waves about this morning, might be the best of it. Check the new surf forecast to see how the next few days are shaping up.
