South Coast

A west wind at 15 – 20 knots is maintaining bumpy conditions along exposed stretches on the South Coast this morning, but the swell remains solid. It’s almost beyond South in direction so it’s really getting in everywhere, but sheltered spots are your best bet. Surf is still 6′ or more between Middleton and Goolwa, and it’s still easily 6′ on the sets between Chiton Rocks and Knight’s. The Dump is slightly cleaner with 4′ waves, but out beyond Victor it’s crazy big. The swell has peaked and it’ll wind down after lunch, but it’ll be large all day. The wind will tend more SW at 10 – 15 knots after lunch. Check the surf forecast to see how the start of the week is looking.
