South Coast

The swell has eased on the South Coast overnight, or more to the point shifted from a Southerly to a more Westerly direction. The wind is from the NNE at 7 knots and conditions are nice and clean again, with 2 – 3′ waves at Middleton, and a few bigger sets down toward Day St / Surfers and Goolwa. There are still a few 2′ waves around at Chiton Rocks. Waits and Parson’s will be bigger but might struggle to hold the sets. The wind looks like it will start to build in strength not long after sunrise, and gusts may be over 20 knots by mid-morning. Exposed stretches will become blown out if it gets that strong, and will probably stay that way for the rest of today. Grab what you can early.
