South Coast

An ENE wind has added a few lumps on the South Coast this morning so conditions are sort of lumpy / glassy early. The swell is almost dead south so it’s a good size on sets, around 4′ at Middleton and maybe the odd bigger sets down toward Goolwa where the wind is slightly better aimed. There are some 3′ sets around at Chiton / Gap and it’s semi-clean around there, Waits and Parson’s will be solid but Parson’s point will favour the wind. There are also a few other options worth checking around that side. The BoM predicts the breeze will swing more NE and pick up to 20 knots, before easing off again after lunch. The offshore might help straighten the swell up, but ideally, it needs day of Nor-westers for that. The swell should stick around at least.
