South Coast

The wind is back to 10 knots from the North on the South Coast early, and conditions are clean – but small. Surf is only around 1′ at Middleton, and it’s not a whole lot bigger along the Day St. – Goolwa stretch. Waitpinga might offer the odd 1 – 2′ set, and that’s probably the only option for short boarders. Most opportunities will evaporate soon anyway, with the arrival of 25 knot NW winds ahead of a gusty change from the West. Anywhere exposed will get hammered by the wind, and that’s the way it’ll stay for the rest of the day. The swell might lift after lunch, but with 35 knot West winds conditions will be more favourable for wind or kite surfing than anything else.
