South Coast

West winds are back to 15 – 20 knots on the South Coast early, adding a few bumps along exposed stretches. The swell has lifted overnight but direction is not ideal yet, with surf around 2 – 3′ at Middleton and occasionally bigger sets from Day St. to Goolwa. Middleton Point / Bay is reasonably clean this morning, and part sheltered. It’s not big enough for The Dump, and Chiton / Gap are semi clean and 2′, ans Waits Point will again be part sheltered early. It might not last log, with strong W-SW winds returning after a few hours. The arvo looks blown out with 30 knot gusts from the WSW, but the swell should be a bit bigger around the Middleton side. Probably not big enough for anywhere really sheltered, but The Bay might be surfable at least. Check the latest surf forecast to see how the next few days are looking.
