South Coast

Conditions are clean and glassy on the South Coast early with very light NNE winds, but the swell has eased overnight. Surf is back to around 1′ at Middleton, and it’s sort of weak and re-formy along the Day St.- Goolwa stretch. The sets are maybe 2′ but mots waves seem to be flopping over and then rolling through the gutter. Waits and Parson’s should offer something slightly more exciting for shortboarders, and both beaches will be clean. The BoM predicts North winds will pick up this morning, possibly reading 20 – 30 knots at times. The wind should ease off again after lunch, but by that stage it will probably have blown what’s left of the swell flat. Check the latest surf forecast to see how the new week is shaping up.
