South Coast

Winds are almost trying to go offshore on the South Coast this morning, tending ENE at 5 – 7 knot. Swell has lifted overnight and is lined up, but a bit lumpy from days of SE-S wind. Surf is around 3′ along Middleton – Goolwa stretch, and glassy 2′ around at Chiton / Gap.  Waits and Parson’s will be a bit bigger, 4′ or more, and winds will favour Parson’s. The next few hours is probably the bext of it, and conditions will deteriorate as winds go back around to the SE-S at 15 – 20 knots after lunch. Swell will kick a bit during the day, so there may be some sneaky options beyond Victor – somewhere between the rising swell and winds going dead onshore. Shred factor 6/10
