Mid Coast

It’s a cool, clear morning on the Mid Coast with very light ENE winds and glassy conditions early. There are a few lines of new swell trying to sneak in, and the reefs have a few 1′ waves coming up to high tide at 0830. Some spots may improve as the tide begins to drop mid morning, but there’s a chance of N-NW winds adding a few bumps. Low tide is just after 2pm, so hopefully the incoming tide provides a bit of a lift in wave height. Winds should ease again late arvo and possibly even glass it off again for the evening. Winds are light from the East and conditions are clean and glassy on the Mid Coast, with  a few small lines still managing to sneak in. Surf is around 1′ on tbe reefs, and the tide is coming in until 8am. The dropping tide will kill it a bit mid – late morning, but the beachies should start to pick up a few more waves heading toward low water between 1 and 2pm. The incoming tide won’t change much initially and light S-SW winds may add a bit of a bump mid arvo. Swell should lift slightly toward the big evening tide just after 8pm, and SE winds should clean it up after 6pm. Shred factor 2/10

Winds are from the ESE at around 10 knots and conditions are clean on the Mid Coast, with  a few small lines rolling over the reefs. Surf is around 1′ at a small number of spots that can handle the high tide, everywhere else is too full and not breaking. A few more of the reefs may have small Mally waves once the tide starts moving out after 8am, and the beachies will have small peelers through low tide early arvo. Southerly winds are forecast for the arvo so it’ll probably get bumpy again, with winds shifting SE and cleaning it up again toward evening. Shred factor 3/10

East winds are gusting around 20 knots on the Mid Coast this morning, and conditions are clean… but a  bit chilly with the breeze. Coming up to high tide there are still a few 1′ waves on the reefs with occasional bigger sets, but it’s a bit full and not breaking everywhere. The dropping tide may open up a few more options mid morning, and the lower tide will bring a few more waves to beachies like South Port and Moana early arvo.  Winds will tend more SSE at around 17 knots after lunch, and slowly shift back to the SE – E in the evening. There’ll probably be some small waves left on the incoming tide.  Shred factor 5/10

Mid Coast

Winds are light from the East on the Mid Coast early and conditions are clean and glassy, with a few small lines of swell sneaking in. Surf is similar to the last few days and around 1′ on the reefs with occasional bigger sets, coming up  to high tide at 7am.  The dropping tide may actually improve things for some of the reefs that are a bit full at the moment. The lower tide will bring a bit more size on the beachies at lunch, but not long after Southerly winds will kick in and chop it up. There’ll be waves again on the incoming tide, but it’ll be bumpy before a late shift back to SE winds and cleaner conditions in the evening.  Shred factor 6/10

Mid Coast

We’re back to the usual light morning East wind and clean conditions on the Mid Coast this morning, and the usual teaser swell. Surf continues to manage about a foot on the reefs, it’s a little less consistent than yesterday but you’ll get a longboard wave at spots like 3 Poles and Anzacs if you don’t mind waiting for the sets. The dropping tide will kill those spots a bit, but the lower water might bring some small waves at Trigs and the beachies just after lunch. Winds are forecast to shift to teh  South and pick up after lunch, so it’ll get bumpy again. There’ll be tiny peelers in the evening once winds swing back to the SE.  Shred factor 4/10

Conditions are clean on the Mid Coast early with light SE winds, and a few small lines hitting the reefs. Surf is around 1′ , and also pretty full heading through high tide. A few of the reefs may improve once the tide drops a bit, and the lower tide will offer learner waves at South Port and Moana. The forecast predicts winds will tend more S-SW aftre lunch at up to 15 knots, adding bumps. Surf will remain around 1′ all day, with small cleaner Mally waves on the reefs this evening. Conditions are clean on the Mid Coast early with light ESE winds, and the same tiny lines of the last few days. Surf is around shin high on the reefs and a smidge bigger than yesterday, but it’s also pretty full heading through high tide. A few of the reefs may have some Mally waves once the tide drops a bit, and the lower tide will offer learner waves at South Port and Moana. Afternoon sea breezes are forecast so it might get a bit bumpy after lunch, but evening sou-easters should clean it up again. Surf will remain small all day, but there may be a Mally wave on the reefs this evening. Shred factor 3/10

Conditions are clean and glassy on the Mid Coast early with light ESE winds, and the same tiny lines of the last few days. Surf is around shin high on the reefs with the odd  1′ set, and it’s also pretty full coming off high tide. A few of the reefs may have some Mally waves once the tide drops a bit, and the lower tide will offer learner waves at South Port and Moana. The arvo won’t see much change, surf will remain small on the incoming tide and light / variable winds will mean it remains clean pretty much all day. Shred factor 3/10

Winds are light from the ENE and conditions are glassy on the Mid Coast early, but surf is still a bit small. Some long period swell has arrived at the Cape Du Coudiec buoy overnight but waves are only around 1′ on the reefs that can handle the full morning tide. Once it drops a bit some spots may improve, and the lower tide will favour the beachies and spots like Trigs through the lunch hour. The breeze probably won’t get much over 10 knots today, but there’s a greater chance of it swinging onshore and adding bumps mid arvo. Swell will probably lift a bit on the incoming tide, how much remains to be seen. Shred factor 3/10
