Mid Coast

It’s another clean, glassy start to the day on the Mid Coast, but it looks like it won’t stay that way for long. There are still a few 1′ waves hitting the reefs with occasional bigger sets, just coming off high tide at 0615. It looks like a Northerly wind is about to kick in, and that will conspire with the outgoing tide to mess things up. The forecast predicts 15 – 20 knots for a few hours, so it may get a bit bumpy through the middle of the day. Low tide at lunch will favour Trigs and the beach breaks, but if the wind is still up quality might not be so great. There is some good news though, with the breeze expected to drop out again mid arvo, p[ossibly even glassing off later. That should go nicely with the incoming tide and hopefully work with a bit of a pulse. It will get a bit full after 4:30pm, but it’s worth a check for a late paddle with clean 1 – 2′ waves on the reefs. There’s a new surf forecast up for the rest of the week. Shred factor 3/10.
