Mid Coast

Conditions are clean on the Mid Coast early with offshore East winds around 10 knots, but not much of a lift in swell, unfortunately. Surf is around 1′ on the reefs with rare bigger sets, but only South Port and Seaford Reef are picking it up coming up to high tide just before 7am. It’ll stay pretty full for the next couple of hours, but the dropping tide will affect consistency and size a bit after 8am. Low tide is at 1pm and it’ll favour Trigs and the beach breaks through the lunch hour, but the incoming tide should create a few more options. The swell should lift a bit after lunch, and the wind should stay out of the E – NE. There is a chance of a Nor-wester kicking in late arvo / evening, but hopefully that’s not until after dark. Outlook for tomorrow is in the surf forecast. Shred factor 2/10.
