Mid Coast

It’s been a warm night on the Mid Coast and it’s pretty balmy early, with air outside at 26 degrees and 15 knot North winds. The breeze has added some bumps to gulf waters, but surf is still small and barely shin-high on the reefs with the big tide. The wind will tend more NW at up to 20 knots ahead of a W-SW change early arvo, which will bring cooler weather. For the next few hours it’ll be bumpy and small, but the swell should start to lift on the incoming tide after lunch. Onshore winds at 20 knots will maintain the bump, but it’s not a strong change and the breeze should be back around 10 knots by late arvo. There’s a chance of a late paddle, arvo or in the evening with lighter winds. High tide is at 7pm. I’ll post an update to the surf forecast heading into the weekend.  Shred factor 2/10.
