Mid Coast

The wind has dropped out overnight and it’s light from the NW on the Mid Coast early. Conditions are clean with some northerly bump, and a new WSW  swell hitting the reefs, with waves around 2′. It’s very full coming up to a big high tide just after 7am, and that’s limiting options to the shallower reefs. It should improve a bit mid-morning as the water level falls, but the outgoing drain will effect consistency after 9am. Low tide will favour trigs and the beach breaks between 1 and 2pm, and the swell should lift a git after 3pm as the tide pushes back in. Winds may pick up a bit from the North this morning, but should drop out again after lunch – before a late Southerly kicks in. The south wind may add a few bumps late arvo, but hopefully it goes SE and cleans up again for a late one. High tide is at 7pm. Outlook for tomorrow is in the surf forecast. Shred factor 5/10.
