South Coast

Conditions are back to clean on the South Coast with light offshore North winds, but the swell is very westerly and small. Surf is only 1′ at Middleton, and once again it’s not really much bigger down through Day St. toward Cliffs and Goolwa. Waits and Parson’s are the only options for shortboarders, with occasional 2′ sets. The Bureau of Met predicts NW-W winds up to 15 knots this morning, which should keep it fairly clean – but a shift to the SW after lunch my add some bumps. The swell direction is also less than perfect all day, but it should lift slightly late arvo. Winds will probably be onshore by mid arvo, so expect a few bumps. Surf will probably only be in the 2′ range anyway. Outlook for tomorrow in the updated surf forecast. Shred factor 5/10.
