The cool change rolled in overnight and the wind is onshore at 20 knots on the Mid Coast this morning. The wind has really chopped up Gulf waters, adding a foot of chop to a tiny swell. It’s still basically flat, and without the wind surf would be barely 1′. It will get bigger from now on, but we probably won’t see a proper stormy develop. Winds may be in the 30 knot range from the SW for a few hours, but by mid arvo the breeze will tend more SOutherly and lighten off. By sunset we may have 10 -15 knots SOuth winds, and bumpy surf around 2 – 3′.The Southern end of South Port will be part sheltered, but everywhere else will be messy. Outlook heading into the weekend is in the latest surf forecast. Shred factor 2/10.
