Mid Coast

Welcome to the first day of summer. It’s 12 degrees outside, with a gusty onshore wind and rain for the first day of the so-called hotter months. The surf, in case you care, is around 1 – 2′ and really just chop – although that will change during the day. It’s high tide now, but the lower tide at lunch will only leave junky waves at South Port and Moana as options. After lunch the wind will pick up from the SW and may get up in the 30 knot range. The wind will whip up a bit of a stormy, despite a weird primary swell direction that is not aimed into the gulf. Seaford or Moana should have a few messy chest high waves mid – late arvo.
