Mid Coast

Conditions are clean on the Mid Coast early with light offshore East winds, but the swell is pretty small. There are still a few lines of leftover swell and occasional 1′ waves hitting selected reefs, but it’s very full and inconsistent coming up to high tide. It won’t get any better as the tide starts to drain out after 8am, and low tide on the beach breaks will only offer small peelers. Today will be another hot one, and although the forecast predicts SE-SW winds at 15 knots after lunch, it pobably won’t be that strong. In any case a glass off is probable this evening, but it’s unlikely wave heights will top shin-high for the rest of the day. Shred factor 3/10
