Mid Coast

We have the classic summer gully wind blowing on the Mid Coast this morning, dead East and gusting around 17 knots. It’s slightly flattening the leftover swell, but there are a few 1′ waves on the reefs. The tides are weird today, there’s a sort of low at 0530, then barely 30cm of incoming to a peak at 10:30. It’s fairly low all day, so a few of the reefs will remain on the shallow side. The wind will swing more to the SE after lunch and should lighten off mid-morning to early arvo. By mid arvo it’ll be back to 15 knots from the SE, so conditions will stay fairly clean after lunch. Surf won’t get much over a foot all day. Check the outlook for the rest of the week in the latest surf forecast. Shred factor 2/10
