Mid Coast

The wind has dropped on the Mid Coast but so too has the swell, and this morning it’s looking pretty sad. Surf is only around 1′ with occasional 2′ lumps, and the wind is onshore from the West at 10 knots. High tide is at 8am and it’s already pretty full and fat, but the outgoing tide is probably not gonna do it any favours. Low tide at 2:30pm may coincide with light /variable winds, so there a chance of small, bumpy waves at Trigs or South Port. The wind should remain light and tend more NW late arvo, but it probably won’t top 5 – 10 knots all day. The incoming tide might offer a small pulse as some new WSW swell begins to push in. It’s hardly looking epic, but it might be a slight improvement over this morning’s muck. There’s a new surf forecast up, so you can check the outlook heading into the weekend.
