Mid Coast

The wind is offshore from the East at 15 knots on the Mid Coast early, and a few small lines are hitting the reefs. There are rare 1′ sets of a couple of waves coming up to high tide, but most of the reefs breaks are not picking them up. The outgoing tide may reveal a few more options mid morning, but eventually, the water movement will be too much for the small swell. Low tide at 2pm may offer small peelers at South Port and Trigs, but as the wind swings more to the South only the Southern end of South Port will offer any shelter. The incoming tide will probably bring a few waist high sets like it did last night, but it’s most likely going to be bumpy with 20 knot plus South winds. The weekend looks like more of the same, more on that in tonight’s forecast.
