Mid Coast

The wind is light from the SE on the Mid Coast early, and conditions are clean – but still pretty much flat. There are tiny lines of distant WSW swell hitting some of the reefs, but it’s battling the outgoing tide and not surfable. Low tide at 11am should reveal the first lines of some new swell on the beach breaks and at Trigs, possibly the odd 1′ set. Unfortunately, a Northerly wind will probably be up by then, adding a few bumps. The incoming tide after lunch will come with a lift in wave heights, and it may even be 1 – 2′ by late arvo. It will also be bumpy with winds shifting onshore Westerly at 20 knots, and then fresh Southerly by evening. The Southern end of South Port might offer a late grovel, but it’s a long shot. Fresh forecast will be up this evening.
