South Coast

WSW winds around 17 knots are adding a few bumps along the South Coast this morning, but the swell has kicked overnight. Surf is up around 5′ at Middleton, but there are a few big sets breaking a few hundred meters out to sea between Day St. and Goolwa. Chiton / Gap are a bit bumpy but picking up occasional 4’+ sets. The Dump is part sheltered at around 2′. The forecast predicts SW winds at 20 knots fro the rest of the day, and the swell is looking like it’s building. Sheltered spots will definitely be worth a look later today, and tomorrow is looking even bigger. More on that in the surf forecast. Shred factor 6/10.
