Mid Coast

The wind has dropped right out overnight, very quickly gone around to a light offshore ESE on the Mid Coast this morning. There’s some swell leftover but it’s looking a bit bruised from the wind yesterday – also very full coming up to high tide just before 8am. There re a few 2′ waves on the reefs, but it’s only the high tide spots that are handling it. The outgoing tide may actually help it a bit mid morning, and a few of the reefs will break a bit better after 9am. Low tide is at 2:20pm, so it will be a bit shallow for many spots between 2 and 3pm. The incoming tide should open up a second opportunity late arvo with 2′ waves, and 10 knot SE winds by evening. There is a chance of a light onshore popping up at some stage, but there will be waves all day. Been a while since you could say that! Shred factor 6/10.
