Souht Coast

Cross-shore ESE winds at 15 knots are making a mess of the South Coast this morning, and grey, overcast skies are not helping the look much. Surf is around 2 – 3′ at Middleton, and there’s 3′ mush along the Day St. / Cliffs / Goolwa stretch. There are a few lumpy 3′ wedges pushing in at Knights, and lumpy 2 – 3′ surf at Chiton Rocks. Parson’s Point will offer partial shelter, and surf should be in the 3 – 4′ range. Forget Waits. The wind looks like it’ll tend more onshore SE at 20 knots from late morning onward, so it won’t be cleaning up anytime soon. The swell will lift a bit after lunch, not that that helps much. Check the latest surf forecast to see how the weekend is shaping up.
