South Coast

Winds are from the West at 10 knots on the South Coast this morning, and conditions are a bit bumpy. Swell has eased a bit but it’s still up, with surf around 4′ at Middleton with occasional bigger bombs between Day St. and Goolwa. There are 3 – 4′ sets hitting Chiton / Gap, and 2′ waves at the Dump where it’s slightly cleaner. Waits and Parson’s will be just to big and messy. The forecast predicts WNW winds up around 20 knots from late morning onward, so anywhere exposed will be a bit wind effected. Part sheltered spots may be OK, and Middleton Bay or The Dump may be the best of a slightly dodgy lot. New surf forecast for the week is here. Shred factor 6/10.
