South Coast

There’s an early land breeze on the South Coast this morning, and conditions are OK early with light WNW winds. Surf is around 3′ at Middleton with occasional bigger sets breaking between Day St. and Goolwa. Chiton / Gap are around 1 – 2′ and clean, Waits and Parson’s will be a bit bigger with the wind early favouring Waits Point. It doesn’t look like staying this way for long, with SE winds predicted for the rest of the day. The cross-onshore wind will add lumps to the swell, and overall quality will deteriorate. The Bureau of Met doesn’t expect much more than 10 knots, but it’ll be enough. Swell will probably hold up alright at least. Planning to get a new forecast out tonight. Shred factor 7/10.
