South Coast

The wind is actually light offshore on the South Coast early, but a day and night of onshore S-SE winds have left it very lumpy. Surf is back up to around 4′ at Middleton, with bigger lumps breaking between Day St. and Goolwa. Chiton / Gap are around 3′ and sort of lumpy / glassy. The Bureau of Met predicts E-NE winds all day, probably not getting much over 10 knots. It’ll still be enough to maintain a bit of a lump in the swell for the rest of the day. Wave heights won’t change much, and it may be slightly straighter late arvo – unless the wind goes SE, in which case it’ll be all over. Shred factor 5/10.
