South Coast

The wind is almost offshore on the South Coast this morning, tending ENE – NE at 5 knots. The swell is solid again today but it is slightly Easterly effected and a bit lumpy looking. Surf is still around 4 – 5′ between Middleton and Goolwa, with occasional bigger sets breaking a long way offshore. Chiton / Gap are picking up 4′ sets, and there’s some size up the Boomer / Knights end of the beach. A few lesser-known spots to the West might be worth checking this morning. The wind will swing SE at some stage and pick up to 15 knots or so, so the arvo looks like it’ll be messy. It’s not exactly quality this morning but at least there’s some size. Shred factor 5/10
