South Coast

There’s still a pretty decent Southerly swell hitting the South Coast this morning and the wind is light offshore – but Easterlies have left it pretty lumpy. Surf is still around 4 – 5′ between Middleton and Goolwa, with 6′ sets breaking a long way out, Chiton / Gap are picking up 4′ sets, and it’s thumping in at Boomer / Knights. Once again, a few lesser known spots to the West might be worth checking this morning. The wind should tend more offshore and straighten it up a bit after lunch, although the swell has peaked and will probably back off slightly. The breeze may go light / variable mid arvo and possibly even glass off. Check the Victor to Port Elliot stretch this morning, or look for cleaner, more lined up swell around the Middleton side after lunch. Shred factor 6/10
