South Coast

Onshore winds are still up around 20 knots on the South Coast this morning, and conditions are messy everywhere. The swell has kicked and is a bit bigger than expected, with surf 3 – 5′ between Middleton and Goolwa. There’s sloppy surf between Victor and Port Elliot, with junky 1 – 2′ waves at The Dump and 3′ slop at Chiton Rocks. Waits and Parson’s will be a write off all day. The swell may even get bigger, but quality will remain poor with fresh onshores settling in and tending more SE late arvo. A few part sheltered spots may be worth a look late arvo if the wind has enough East in it. Outlook for the rest of the week is in the latest surf forecast. Shred factor 4/10
