South Coast

Conditions are clean on the South Coast early with very light WSW winds, and a lift in swell overnight. It’s well lined up and surf is a good 3′ at Middleton with a few bigger sets between Day St. and Goolwa. It’s looking the best it has in many days, and some of the swell is getting in between Victor and Port Ellio with glassy 2′ waves at Chiton and a few bigger sets pushing in up toward Kight’s / Boomer. Waits and Parson’s will be bigger, and for the first time in weeks winds will actually favour Waits Point. It’ll be solid, so if you’re not confident or fit, just watch from the lookout. Right now is the best of it and it mightn’t last long. The breeze will swing more to the South and pick up from late morning onward, leaving it sloppy for the arvo. There’s more swell coming over the next few days – more on that in the latest surf forecast. Shred factor 7/10.
